Tea Infused Apples & Apple Infused Tea!

Hey guys :) so I’ve been on a TOTAL tea craze lately, and DAVIDsTEA is the BOMB. Seriously, their blends are just the best you’ve ever ever tasted and smelled.

If you keep up with my blog regularly, you might’ve seen that I’ve been trying to cut down on my sugar which has been difficult, because I’m a sucker for a good teaspoon of honey in my teas everyday.

I used Toasted Walnut here, which is the most gloriously scented tea ever. It reminds you of that crisp fall air, and just everything fantastic about the end of summer.

So instead of buying “fruit sugar” that’s been processed and all, what better way to sweeten your teas by directly throwing in some fruit? Not only will it sweeten your tea, the flavours of the tea seep into the fruit as well. Two birds, one stone!!!

Ingredients:

- 1.5 tsp (or the recommended amount) of full leaf green tea

- 1/2 of an apple, sliced

* if it’s not sweet enough for you, add some honey/agave

Directions:

Follow brewing instructions and then throw in your apples. Let it steep and infuse in the fridge for at LEAST 6-8 hours, preferably overnight.

* other really good options are like, black tea + apples, jasmine green tea + peaches, etc. It’s really up to you!
